To Marianne

Dear Marianne,

Sometimes, when the path ahead

                    seems unclear,
And the terrain all around
                    feels not so dear;
Stop, take a deep breath,
                    and a moment to realize;
"It could have been worse."
                    says the old and the wise.

For, this too shall pass,

                    and pass it will
Open wide your arms, breathe in,
                    & walk up to the window sill;
Look at the stream below
                    flowing relentlessly night and day;
Reminding that things must move on,
                    life happens this way.

For, 'Time' is the only capital,

                    that one has in life.
So don't just live,
                   but live and thrive
To the darkest of nights,
                   there comes a dawn;
Take notice of the starry-night,
                   and smile as life moves on.

And among all of these,

                   when you need a company;
When you tried somewhat,
                   but can't really find any;
Just remember me O lady
                   Me is up you know;
Whenever ye want to see me,
                   . . . Just let me know.

Do Let me know..

When you're sad at heart, And want to share; When you're closed inside An opening is all you care, When the mood is hefty, And would need a lighten; When the times are tough And situations need a brighten, When you feel lonely, And some company won't bother; When life is constrained And would love to talk rather, Remember me O lady, Me is up you know; Whenever ye want to see me ...Do let me know.

A working man's thoughts

The man returned from work and fell fast asleep, He dreamt of a beautiful childhood day. The sun was bright and the cool breeze brisk. The onset of spring was evident. He dreamt of meeting his childhood friends. They had planned to go cycling together into the woods. Life was a lot simpler then. No fear of losing the daily battles, no worries about what the future holds. In his dream he met God. Unable to hold himself together, he asks, "God, how do I go back to those good old days?." "Son", smiled God, "..use the gift of 'Dream' .  " Suddenly, a repetitive sound disturbed his sleep. He checked his watch. It's 6 a.m. Time to get ready for work.

An essence of homecoming

Just check this out. Ignore the black thing standing in the middle of the picture and look at the small dingy which stays afloat. Imagine what it would be like to sit on that boat and enjoy the scenic all around. Look far sitting on the boat and you can see the the 'Kash' growing all through in a stretch, reminding us at once that the Pujas are nearing. The Ganges is muddy and you can almost smell her water. Somewhere hidden in the corner, there may be a crane or kingfisher searching for some fish to catch. The mild sun doesn't beat you down, instead, it appears to smoothly kiss you and spread the aroma of this enchanting time of the year. Maa aaschen! P.S- Kudos to the photographer The picture can be found at Link to picture . Do have a look.
